Quality Control Makes Different
Quality Control
Quality control is the stage in apparel & hats production where each garment is thoroughly examined to ensure it meets the predefined standards of quality, functionality, and appearance. This step is essential to identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies before the products reach the market.
Implementing a robust quality control process significantly contributes to customer satisfaction and brand reputation. Regularly review and update quality control procedures based on feedback and changing industry standards.
Visual Inspection
Visual Inspection is usually the first step, conduct a visual inspection of each t-shirt for any visible defects such as loose threads, uneven stitching, fabric discoloration, or printing errors. Ensure that the t-shirt adheres to the approved design and meets aesthetic standards.
Measurements
Verify that each t-shirt conforms to the specified size measurements. Inaccuracies in sizing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and returns.
Fabric Quality Check
Assess the fabric for any imperfections, tears, or irregularities. Confirm that the selected fabric meets the expected standards for durability, softness, and color consistency.
Stitching and Seam Strength
Test the strength of stitches and seams to ensure they can withstand normal wear and washing. Weak stitching can lead to early garment deterioration.
Print or Embroidery Integrity
If the t-shirt includes printed or embroidered designs, check for accuracy and adherence to the approved artwork. Ensure that the prints are vibrant, and embroidery is secure.
Color Fastness
Verify the color fastness of the t-shirt by subjecting it to washing tests. Colors should not bleed or fade excessively during standard washing procedures.
Random Sampling
While it’s essential to inspect every t-shirt, also conduct random sampling to catch any issues that may not be immediately apparent.
Labeling and Packaging Accuracy
Confirm that labels with size and care instructions are accurately attached. Check that each t-shirt is correctly folded, tagged, and packed to prevent damage during transportation.
